I've been having some issues with DSL. Now that I don't need a phone line for conference calls, I am thinking about dropping my land line and going with MetroCast. I have been on MetroCast cable for quite a while and have been happy.

Inputs appreciated.

Very happy with Metrocast Internet. I did have an outage last nite late and it was back up in the morning. I had contacted customer service to report it and they were very helpful and said other modems were down to and would contact the local technicians to see what was up. Never really a Customer Service Issue. I also use an OBi VOIP converter to run my phone in the house using Google Talk which is free other than the actual OBi device I purchased from Amazon. I also own my own Docsis 3 Modem so I pay no rental charge. Very happy with my setup and Metrocast.

I've been in my current house since 2006. There have been three times that I've had to call and have one of their techs come out. Each time there was a definite problem such as a bad connector. So, three calls over seven years? Can complain about that.

Got Metrocast in late 90's for high speed internet, got tired of dialup and no DSL available. Use DirecTv. Have landline and Vonage along with multiple cell phones, I have iPhone on AT&T, wife as basic phone on Verizon. Also a couple of pay as you go phones in Germany, but use AT&T for calls to US.

Vonage has out of state number for my wife's mother and other relatives. I like it beause you can call free Worldwide. Even from a smartphone.
