Tiger beetle.Oh Noooo!! What about the poor...... um..... the .... uh, what was it that was endangered so no one could save their own homes?
I know.... that's what supposedly caused the cliff to collapse....Tiger beetle.
but so far there's no word what caused the collapse,
Welp, we now know you’re not a tree hugger. Are they freaking morons??? That happens everywhere and anywhere on the Chesapeake and Potomac River on a daily basis. Good grief.
We're starting another major shoreline stabilization project on my island this coming year...but I couldn't get it in gear soon enough to save a 200 year-old oak that's perched on the edge of the cliff bank. I so wanted to save that old tree... ;-(
They will block that area off like they do down at Calvert CliffsOpportunity for local fossil hunters.
They did.I was listening to it on the scanner. I think initially they thought a person had fallen down the cliff.
I remember there was another cliff collapse many years ago (Calvert Cliffs, I think), that took the life of a 3 year old and her dog. I'm glad nobody was there at the time of this one.I was listening to it on the scanner. I think initially they thought a person had fallen down the cliff.
I thought the argument was that the cliffs were type of area the Tiger Beetle would inhabit so don't mess with it. To the best of my knowledge, no beetle has ever been seen.Tiger beetles are all dead now maybe they can fix the cliff.
I had no idea that nobody had ever seen one there. I had told a friend to just go out there with a can of raid.I thought the argument was that the cliffs were type of area the Tiger Beetle would inhabit so don't mess with it. To the best of my knowledge, no beetle has ever been seen.
