Yoda and Rassie

Both on leashes, walking them down the street where a woman was playing pass the foot ball with her boy and girl. I guess another one opened the door and she shouted "don't let the dogs out!" Well, they came. Two, maybe year old pitts.
I kept mine on short leash until one went for Yoda, then it was game on, I let them loose to defend themselves. I kept saying NO loudly and that helped a bit, for about three seconds..The woman came running and grabbed hers. I must say I am proud of my dogs, they almost had them rolled on their bellies by the time she got there and I pulled mine off. No injuries to any dogs that I could see.

I think I would have been forced to kick them into the next county for coming at one of my animals/pets/friends like that. Glad it worked out well as it did. They must have a little of BSG in them.

But OMG, they would scare me dead if they came after me! One of them jumped up on the door that time I came over and scared the bejeebus outta me!

We had a Great Dane once who was attacked by some mutt while we were walking him on a leash. The guy opened his front door, saw us walking by and let his dog loose anyways. His dog had a good hold of ours for a bit. We were yelling No etc...the other guy said noo, let them work it out. Needless to say that once my Dane shook his dog off him and slammed the mutt to the ground by his throat, the other dog's owner changed his tune. Get him off, get him off!!! He shouted. Hubby said, naw,...let them work it out... No major injuries with either dog but that guy never let his dog out when we walked ours. Jerk.

If my dogs would have been out numbered, maybe I'd step in. Or if they started getting whupped and the owner wasn't 3 seconds away.
