I heard Putin and the Russians are white supremacists.
They believe there are only two genders!
AA's can't vote in their elections!!
They don't care about George Floyd!!!
They are for capital punishment for felons!!!!
Diversity? HA!! You must be a white person to vote, hold office and nobody can own a Cadillac or FIVE O Mustang!!!!!

If there was only a well armed semi militia with a neat acronym that could rape, murder and control the Russians.

Actually I was thinking of a very Biden thing to do - offer asylum to Russian soldiers who surrender on the field.

NY Times journalist suggests media concern for Russian invasion of Ukraine demonstrates racial 'biases'

New York Times journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones offered a surprising take Sunday on the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine and its media coverage.

The 1619 Project author commented on a local writer’s description of "incidents of insidious racism" in the media, claiming that concern is only for "Europeans with blond hair and blue eyes."

Hannah-Jones agreed with the writer on the "racialized" analysis.

What is stopping YOU, Ida Bae Wells and Nikole Hannah-Jones from reporting on ' other ' invasions, occupations, refugee crisis

:sshrug:

Do you really want to shine a light on that black on black genocide in Africa ?

I really hate to break the news, but one of the participants in this war has nuclear weapons. That makes it a little more newsworthy, since an unleashing of nuclear weapons by a paranoid madman could lead to a swift extinction of all life on Earth, whatever color.

There absolutely is a wholesale slaughter going on all over the globe - and our news barely covers it. War however, tends to get our attention faster, because a lot of lives and cities are destroyed quickly, rather than slowly, such as crime, gang and drug violence and riots, which may claim as many lives but take much longer.

how many times can you report on Islamists in Africa or Indonesia murdering non believers ...

1. the mind gets numb
2. someone might ' dislike ' Muslims because of the constant news

Well there's also that - war is constant, and brutal - but it ends.
There's no war in the Balkans. There's no war in Iraq although there'll always be violence.
The only war I can think of still raging is the one in the horn of Africa, and it didn't claim many lives LAST YEAR.

the only ' war ' I can think of is the African regional Islamist / Christian Conflict in several countries .... I would not describe it as war, per-sea ... more like tit for tat religious genocide or sectarian violence

To be honest - there are many, many wars - but the timeline is a little confusing. You could easily say there's been war in Afghanistan since 1978, but the combatants and adversaries keep changing. There's been war in Israel and its neighbors since its founding - but creating a beginning and end would be hard to define. TECHNICALLY the Korean War never ended - but there haven't been combat casualties in decades.

They are probably better defined as ongoing violent conflicts, since many of them do not actually involve government supported military.
