You know your cell phone can do more than just make calls. It may take photos or act as your phone book.
But there are a lot more free features you may be missing out on. Russell Kinsaul unveils some cell phone secrets that can save you time and money.

To get the most out of your cell phone, you need to know these tricks.
First, a service that will help you avoid pesky fees, a little 411 for those who need to find a phone number.
When you dial 4-1-1, you likely get hit with a $1.50 fee. Instead call 1-800-free-4-1-1 and you won't get charged a thing.

Scott Granneman, an adjunct technology professor at Washington University, says the service is easy to use.
Speaking of finding a number, you can actually Google information from your phone.
You may be familiar with using the search engine from your computer, but who knew you could actually use it from your phone for free?

Just text "Google" using the number pad and then input what you're trying to find, like movies, along with your zip code.

In moments, Google will respond with text messages.
Google has another free service called Google calendar. It sends you text messages to remind you of your appointments.
If you'd like to set up a conference call on your cell phone, check out the free service foonz.com.
Up to ten people can talk, and only one person gets charged for the minutes.
If you hate holding for services, there's a service called nophonetrees.com.
For example, if you need to get in touch with an airline carrier about your plane tickets or a credit card company about your bill, just go to the website and click on the company you'd like to get in touch with. Instead of waiting on hold for an operator, you enter your number and the company calls you back on your cell phone.

And for those of you looking to cut costs, check out cellfire.com. It's free a service that sends you coupons on your cell phone.

Cell phone users that like to take pictures should check out flickr.com.
Take a picture from your cell phone and you can automatically upload the picture. Its then in your flicker account for everyone to see. The service is handy in times of emergency. For instance, if you need to quickly take pictures of the scene of a car accident.

There's one more service we'd like to tell you about that could save a life. Go to wirelessamberalerts.org and you'll get text message updates on amber alerts in the area
