Ziploc Zip'n Steam Recipes ?

Jack Russells RULE!
Has anyone tried the Ziploc Zip'n Steam bags? Evidently, you can microwave-steam a chicken breast / fish / veggies or whatever all in one bag. Since there is no oil involved (hence, fat-free) the Zip-n-Steam bags have piqued my interest, and I bought a box of 10.

The recipes included in the package are run-of-the mill - essentially comprising of boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bit size pieces mixed with broccoli..

Has anyone tried these steam bags, and do you have any good variations of steamed chicken/broccoli or shrimp variations?

Thanks in advance!

I use 'em to steam veggies and I simply sprinkle the with one of the many varieties of Mrs. Dash... Yummo...:yum: Mrs. Dash Original on steamed broccoli is da bomb...

You could do the same with chicken or fish.... just some Mrs. Dash is all you need to tweak the flavor.

WE use'em for veggeies mostly, work great on asparagus, and brocolli. Ive used them for fish a time or two, they do great with that.

Ok I tried these out.

Bought Broccolli, Cauliflower, brussels sprouts, baby carrots, yellow squash & suga peas. Washed everything and cut it all up mixed in a huge pot. Got a lil carried away with quantities and filled 8 of the 10 bags...:lmao: Kept the baby carrots separated cuz they take longer to cook.

Steamed a bag of mixed veggies earlier today. Sprinkled salt, pepper & basil on them. :yum:

Tonight I filled half a bag with the carrots. Threw some real butter and brown sugar on them in a tupperware bowl, covered & shook until butter & sugar melted. :yum:

4 minute meals. I'm sold on these bags!! :yahoo:

Crack two eggs into the bag, zip and shake well to break up the yolk. Open the bag and add cheese or meat or whatever you want. Zip and shake some more, then microwave for 2.5 minutes.

Viola! Breakfast in a baggie!
