happy to be living
We have an orangie cat named Zuma. He has a lot of personality. He can be mean as hell and he can also be all lovey dovey; usually in the middle of the night. He is a very oral cat and brings us "gifts" from the basement. Rolls of paper towels, umbrellas, gloves, Xmas toys he has removed from heavy bags we have stored in the basement from the store, ETC.
He *crows* loudly when he has brought something to the main floor of the house as well as up to the bedroom. Last night, he was meowing loudly - not his usual "I have brought you something" meow. It was a different meow and he would start in the basement and end up in the bedroom. Stupid me. I should have listened and gone to the basement. This afternoon, after returning from running errands (a day off -yippee!) He started this weird meowing and I went into the basement and it sounded -and smelled- like the sump pump had been running non stop for awhile. He, being the supervisor over every household project, accommodated me to the sump pump area and snooped around while I investigated. I hit the pump and it shut off. He has been quiet since. Note to self: listen to Zuma!
