    Is this wrong of me?

Yes,we knew. I didn't really think I had done anything eviction worthy. I'm pretty stunned right now - two kids, middle of winter, and about to be homeless it sounds like.

    Is this wrong of me?

I brought up an issue where I was questioning how it should have been handled,I was not discussing a lease. I said I felt discussing our lease is something to be handled between us. What I brought up publicly was simply the scenario with the repair guy,and I never mentioned anyone by name or...

    Is this wrong of me?

Fair enough-I don't feel I have done anything to make you want to end our lease, but I am glad to know where you stand. I never said anything about you not making repairs. A public forum is not the place to discuss our lease,so please check your email.

I really had no idea you felt that way about me. The past few times we have spoken have been cordial and fine,I thought. I helped you with suggestions for your mom, etc. There have been things that have been needing repair here but nothing we have caused and we have always paid you on time.

    Is this wrong of me?

I opened the door, said that I was wondering if they were going to come at all and said I had called the office several times. Not much more to tell. After I said that he retorted with his comment, and I said he was wrong. Not much else happened, like I said I felt it was done and over with until...

    Is this wrong of me?

Well, thank you all for the insight. It sounds like this was a situation that could have been handled better by myself and the repair guy as well. Being chastised by the landlord though, pretty much made me feel about 2 feet tall, especially when I didn't feel I had done anything to deserve it.

    Is this wrong of me?

He told me what was wrong and of course it went in one ear and out the other, but it took him only a few minutes to fix and now it is working great.

    Is this wrong of me?

I didn't ask because I really didn't care why he was late - I cared that he didn't let me know. I didn't leave him hanging for 45 minutes in the cold while I ran to the store,so I thought I deserved the same respect. I would say he certainly should have held a civil tongue towards me,I held my...

    Is this wrong of me?

Good points, all. My father and husband are in service type jobs,so no,I was not treating him poorly because of that. I really thought levity and understanding was what was going on,which is why getting this phone call really surprised me after he left as if all was fine.

    Is this wrong of me?

Our landlord was paying for the service call,we don't pay anything for things like heat/ac,etc. But our landlord has always been very good about making repairs,so that isn't really the tone of this thread.

So if someone has to work in your home, you just expect them to be late? And feel ok if they don't even acknowledge it? I am very glad I posted this now..I am seeing a lot of other perspectives here. I don't want to be a jerk about this issue, and I appreciate you all giving your input.

    Is this wrong of me?

I did say repeatedly to him that when he apologized for snapping at me that it was ok,and that I can understand he is busy, but my point here is that if I had left him sitting in his truck waiting for me to be there to let him in,he would have been upset. Right?

    Is this wrong of me?

And how you feel seems to be how my landlord felt, but my position is that 1.if a person is paid for a service, which I thought he was, shouldn't you treat your customer with courtesy? and calling is easy-pick up the cell once in your vehicle,or done with your previous job.
