    Big Fire!

So what all is exactly gone from the nbc4 pics it's hard to get my bearings. I can see that the lighthouse is gone, and what looks like the backside of Bowin's Inn maybe? And the apartments that are just south of Lighthouse is that it? Not to make less of the situation but it seemed like it...

    Hackers

By the way was the book Blue No Where? Great book about the whole Hacker\Cracker world plus a murder mystery as a bonus.

    Hackers

Like Jazz Lady said, "hackers" are actually the destructive form of "crackers" which are your typical code breaking, phone phreaks and such. Hacker's however delve into more of a dark side of the internet. Crackers will go through sites, software and networks and find flaws that can be exploited...

Interest in Establishing a Dog Park

Just as an update this was sent out Dear Dog Park Enthusiasts- At a budget work session on Monday, May 16 the Board of Commissioners voted not to include the proposed off leash dog area at Lancaster Park in Lexington Park in the County's FY'06 budget. R&P had proposed that $25,000 in...

    1 file left

Hollowsoul, Get Microsoft's Beta Spyware Removal tool and run it on your system. That would be where I would start. It sounds like you have some pretty nasty stuff on your machine :whip: . Also make sure your virus definitions are up to date. Are you deleting program files or personal...

    Most quotable movies?

Also from Tombstone: Doc: Well I've got two guns one for each of you. From Monty Python's Quest for the Holy Grail: Old Woman\Man: So because some watery tart tossed you a sword you can wield extreme executive power. And lastly from Super Troopers "Littering and Littering And...

Stats show no rise in sales or crime since end of gun ban

Not to go back to the first page of this thread on everyone, but the purpose of the 2nd Amendment was to allow for everyday citizens to over through the government. And this purpose is just as relevant today as it was back then. I am not saying that our government isn't working, only that we are...

    Dog Bed

I have an English bulldog and every drink of water is like a rain storm on my floor as she walks around, all that's left in her path are puddles. Poor thing gets more water trapped in her lips than she gets down her throat.

The Feds can own your WLAN too

You also need to lock down your WLAN via MAC controlled access if you really want to secure it. Not broadcasting your SID is just a start, with out controlling access you could still sniff out a network despite a broadcasted SID.

Interest in Establishing a Dog Park

:killingme Alright clearly I will be resolved to my pup just playing in the yard. Love The County, such a great place to live as long as you don't want to do anything. :yay:

Interest in Establishing a Dog Park

Not meaning to bump this thread, but anyone hear anything new yet? I know the fun of dealing with the intentionally unproductive government. But I would like to see a free community dog park around here, in my dog's lifetime.

    Desktop Hijack

:coffee: Don't jump to Firefox just yet. An independent study was done and it had more vulnerability than IE. The problem isn't Microsoft the problem is that hackers like to hack, and they will do so on whatever will effect the most people. And now since Firefox has become so popular it is under...

    Vonage

I have AT&T Call Advantage as my VOIP solution, and I love it. As for the 911 thing the only issue is if you are getting a new number. I had my existing Verizon number moved over, the reason for the problem is that 911 is tied into an address database system, so if you call from a number that...

Interest in Establishing a Dog Park

I have a group willing to do all of the manual labor and fund raising if we could just get a plot of land approved. I figure this would make for an excellent Eagle project for one of the local Boy Scout Troops. And I already have a couple of interested individuals.
