THEY ARE HORRIBLE!! At least their office in Calvert is. Disorganized...and I didn't care for the doctors at all.

:yeahthat: I don't like Lewendowski at all! They NEVER had my lab work. I had to wait for them to call and have it faxed. Wait an hour + to see Lewendowski for 2 freakin seconds. :boo: :boo: :boo: :boo:

Went to the Annap. office with a friend...1.5 hour wait to see the doc for 3 minutes.

That was my experience...not one time did they have my labwork. Wait time was awful. I didn't see Lewendowski..I saw the other lady...pretty black woman..can't recall her name. I'd get the first appoinment of the day and she'd be 30 minutes late...I'd see her come into the office.

Anyone have any experience and/or feedback on Annapolis Endocrinologists in Prince Frederick office?

I have seen dr. cantero (sp?) the office staff is very pleasant, and I had no problems with getting an appt or anything..The doc was just so-so...for what I needed her for she was sufficient...nice lady..she is very concerned with lab numbers (that comes from her specialty i suppose) but I felt like she didn't really listen to my symptoms...she ordered the appropriate labs..so I can't complain. I would recommend them, from my own experience there.

edit: I did have a long wait time, as other posters have mentioned..but I always allow time when I see a specialist..so I expected that..Plus I brought my own labs with me..so I didn't experience that issue either.

I see Dr. Bowen/Wright and am very satisfied. She is very through and takes time to explain things to me. The wait is sometimes long but I think it's worth it. I have had a thyroid issues for over 8 years and am finally getting some real help.

That's who I saw. I have been hypothyroid for 32 years and have been treated by my regular doctor and endocrinologists during that time. Getting older, I started to have other issues and my regular doctor suggested that I get an opinion from these doctors. Dr. Bowen-Wright never listened to my specific questions but treated me as if I had no idea what I had. She was rude and condescending.

There is also Dr Julie O'Keefe in Prince Frederick. (410) 535-2005 I've never seen her. A friend of my recommend her to me before I found another doc to treat my thyroid issues.

She's okay. She was my grandmother's doctor (with Calvert Internal Medicine) for a few years before she decided to just do endocrinology. She's a bit rough and matter of fact but I think she's a decent doctor.

Sorry so lengthy... for me, they were good in Dunkirk but not when they moved their office to Prince Frederick. It appears as though they bit off more than they can chew. I had been seeing them since 2006 and followed them into the Prince Frederick location. I'm in the middle of some medical issues and most recently, was told to call and set up an appt for December. I go to do this and the Dr. was out the entire month of December on vacation. Then instead of having me see another dr. there, as I suggested, they decide because I work in DC I should up and abandon my current Dr. AND their PF location all together. They insisted I should now only go to their Silver Spring office instead – new location and an entirely different endocrinologist. I explained that is not close to where I live or where I work and not enroute. They didn't listen and wouldn't schedule me an appointment. Instead they kept trying to give me directions on how to get to their SilverSpring location from DC and map questing it all on the phone. I explained I'd been seeing this endocrinologist for several years and would prefer not to switch everything up and we were in the middle of things...I was basically "fired" as a patient and unfortunately in the middle of some serious medical issues. Ever since, I've been having to play quick catch up with my new endocrinologist at GW. The only thing they did do efficiently at the PF office was send a copy of my 75 page file by fax over to my new Dr. at GW, that was it. Also, if you still decide to go there, bring plenty of books to read, average wait time was no shorter than 2 hours to see a Dr. for 5 minutes no matter what time of the day. If you have labwork, it won't be reviewed until 1 minute INTO your appointment. There's soo many balls that were dropped on me since they moved to PF, its not even funny. I loved the Dr. in the Dunkirk office and staff and that’s why I tried to stick it out and follow her here as well only to be sorry I did.

I see Dr. Michael Thompson at GW now, I like them so far. :yay:

Saw Dr. Cantero after a 2 hour wait. It's was 2 hours and $20 wasted. I'll never go back to them. My nurse practitioner does a way better job of taking care of my multiple metabolic issues.

I called Dr. O'Keefe's office and she is only accepting new patients who currently live in Calvert County. I think that is totally ridiculous, but whatever. I live in St. Mary's so they recommended me to Annapolis endo. So far unfortunately i'm hearing mostly negative comments about their office and staff and doctors. Not sure what to do now. I already have an appt set up for March which is the soonest they could get me in.

I've been going back and forth between hypo and hyperthyroidism now for the last 10+ years and am sick of all the issues I always have so I thought seeing a specialist would be helpful. Now if I could just find a good one! Darn it....
