My brother lives in Allegany County and has problems with bears coming into his back yard all the time. They go through the trash and will even roll the closed trash can down the hill till they can get the lid off and eat whatever "goodies" they can find. Growing up they use to come into our yard and eat our dogs food out of its dish. No matter how many times you relocate them, they have a way of coming back.
