I would think just taking the beltway around to the Dulles toll road would be the fastest, but there are tolls that route.

You simply follow the beltway through Virginia until you see the signs for the Dulles airport and toll road (267?..) The exit is from the left lane.

After exiting, stay to the left on the airport-only access road and there is no toll. Pretty clearly marked.

As you are going around the beltway you will approach the infamous 95S split; several of the left lanes peel off as 95S. Make sure you stay to the right of that mess to continue on 495.

Yep, no tolls is the fastest way. The only real tricky part can be that second left exit.

First left exit, number 45.

Second one, only a short while after that. White van is at the beginning of the turn lane for the second left exit.

Takes you right to the airport, no tolls.

The toll road has tolls and exits. If you peel off the toll road exit onto Dulles Access Road, it goes to the airport and back only (no exits), and there are no tolls.
