Found Black Lab - Allens Fresh - Dog is back home

Someone found a full grown female black lab in the budds creek/penns hill rd area and dropped her off at our house. She is wearing a PetSafe collar, either for an electronic fence or a bark collar (though I doubt this one because she's a barker). We're going to take her to the humane society later this week to see if she has a chip in her but if anyone has any idea who this dog belongs to please let me know. She's being kept in our fenced in backyard and well fed. We will keep her for a week and then drop her off at the humane society.

Edit: She was picked up last week, she's home!

If you are in that area I would be willing to bring my scanner down and check for a chip if you would like.

Most bark collars nowadays have a round diaphragm that senses throat movement. Could be the battery is just dead.

Also, could be a training collar if there is no diaphragm.

I know a lot of guys who are warming up for duck season. Any chance she's a lost hunting dog?

Sounds like my neighbors dog...

Try the house at the end of Spring Bank Place (used to be Steve's Way), closer to the end of Penns Hill Road near Route 234.

If you are coming from route 234, it is the first road on the left just after you come up the hill..

My wife said she noticed a "Lost Black Lab" sign near the end of Penns Hill Road at Route 234..

She didn't get the number, but we will try to get it this afternoon and will post it here..

Have you check Spring Bank Place (old Steve's Way) yet?

The sign was gone last night, so I guess they found their dog.. Was it the one you found? Did you find the dogs home?

The dog was returned, I didn't have internet access for a little while so I didn't get a chance to check this thread. It was the one you suggested tward - they picked her up last week.
