I think we did a tread like this once before, but I think it's time for a comeback.

Obviously gas prices are bumping up. In some places in Southern Maryland it's already over $4 a gallon for regular unleaded. :faint:

So let's share some gas prices that we see when we are out and about.

Rod N Reel in Dameron is $3.95 for regular and $4.19 for diesel. :faint:

Please tell me if I drive into "town" it's cheaper. :lol:

yesterday I filled up in charlotte hall for 380 Reg...... and the sheetz on chancellors run rd was 3.92... I was like WTF...

and now the one in CH was 3.86 this AM!!!

faststop in Leonardtown @ 8:30 am 3.81 a gallon... @ 4:00 pm 3.98 a gallon... Now please tell me why? 17cents in how many hours? Rip off. If the price goes up this fast every day we will be at 5 or 6 dollars by April. I bet it will not come down as fast as it went up. They are just doing it this way so they can get it at the 4$ price they want. Just like they did when they wanted it to be 3$ a gallon.. I don't know what is going to happen.. I guess I hope people start doing something different. But, I know we cannot because every machine we have runs off of gas or diesel...

My Ford Sync system shows gas prices too.

Yup, prices go up fast and if/when they go down it takes it's sweet time. They are just conditioning us to get us used to $4 a gallon. We already get excited when it drops to around $3.50! Nice to see all the frozen pay raises to pay for all the hikes in prices of everything too. :sarcasm:

Increase in Demand my behind!!

Anyone ever wonder why in almost 30 years (1978 ~ 2008) the price of gas only went from ~$.75/gallon to ~$2.00/gallon. An increase of $1.25/gallon

BUT.... from 2008 to 2012, gas has gone from ~$2.00/gallon to ~$4.00 per gallon!!!

So in summary...

30 years = increase of $1.25

4 years = increase of $2.00!!!

Demand my ARSE!!!

Just another excuse :buttkick:

(numbers may be off just a bit but, if you research it, you will find them to be pretty accurate)

All I know is that when Burchmart can undercut WaWa by 5-6 cents a gallon, something has gone awry.

I don't see all the gas prices in the tri-county and I don't always embrace my phone while driving. And not everybody uses smart phones. I know, it's shocking.

Plus a tread gives us an outlet to vent. :lol: Everybody in this tread is saying $4 a gallon is what the goal is, but I heard the ultimate goal was $6. Higher gas prices don't just have an impact on our gas/driving - but will raise the cost of a lot of items in our regular budgets, including food/groceries.

Seems like they skyrocketed after 2000...not 2008 as the other person tried to say. Stop watching FOX news and believing everything they say. Bush killed the economy. Obama hasn't helped. They both suck but the crap started at the end of the Clinton/start of Bush...and only got worse.

The Housing / Mortgage market killed the Economy and that was mostly a Democrat protected nightmare (Pelosi, Reid, Dodd, Franks) until it blew up in their faces and then they all had amnesia. Bush didn't write the checks, the Congress does and they had FULL control of the House and Senate since 2007. Don't even come on here trying to defend that freakin economic disaster of a President when spent his first 2 years doing nothing but trying to force feed America his soon to be overturned Obamacare and then the failed Cap & Trade. Go sell stupid someplace else!!! :cartwheel

To you I say BS. The fuel prices will continue to rise until they reach European prices, or the Marxist/Socialist Obamites are voted out which ever comes first.

I wonder if the NEWS/MEDIA did not start "predicting" higher prices last winter that we would be where we are. It is like the media gave permission to the oil companies/etc to raise the price BECAUSE the public has been warned by the media because the media thought the prices would go up.
Otherwise, why in hell are we paying such prices and the oil companies post HUGE PROFITS every quarter?????

AKA: Self full filling prophecy.....
