Last time my wife and I took a proctored test (via Mensa) my IQ was rated at 142, hers at 136.
However, my Ambition Quotient is about 95 where hers is 120.
I'm apparently qualified to be POTUS, judging by the current standards.

Then leave. Plenty of people will buy you a one-way ticket to the socialist utopia of your choice. Good luck getting anyone in your new country to do the same, f*ckface.

Gen Z grad with 2 degrees breaks down in tears sharing the responses she received from minimum wage employers after handing out her résumé in New York

“This is the most humbled I’ve ever felt in my life,” a teary-eyed Gen Z graduate reported back to her TikTok fans while holding a stack of résumés after a disappointing day of job-seeking—and the brutal wake-up call has struck a generational nerve.

In the video, which has amassed over 23 million views, Lohanny Santos, a 26-year-old from Brooklyn with a dual degree and three languages up her sleeve, shared that she’d been going door-to-door to find work to no avail.

Santos, who posts under the handle @lohannysant, broke down in tears while admitting that she’d given up hopes of becoming a full-time influencer and needed a job with a full-time salary.

After her online venture didn’t generate enough income to pay the bills, she went into several coffee shops to hand them her resume—just like she did when she was 16 and was looking for a job. But it wasn’t long before the Pace University graduate realized that not even “two degrees in communications and acting” is enough to land a $16-an-hour job in New York in the current tough job market.

“It’s honestly a little bit embarrassing because I’m literally applying for, like, minimum-wage jobs,” she cried. “And some of them are being like, ‘We’re not hiring’ and it’s like, ‘What?’ This is not what I expected.”

“This sucks,” she concluded.

I actually feel her pain. After getting out of the Navy, I applied to Jack-in-the-Box in Chula Vista, CA. It was literally a straight, down-hill run on a bicycle from my house on E. Palomar. I could be there in mere minutes.

One of the criteria was that one had to have a car - I saw that a lot on job applications at the time. I didn't have a car, and I had given my CB750 to a shipmate who was in desperate need.

I sat down with the manager, a Mexican-American guy, and that was one of the things I talked about. I said "I'm literally less than five minutes from here on a bicycle. 20 minutes if I walk."

He said "I never told you this, and I'll deny it to my dying day, but you're the wrong color to work here. You need more of a tan."

I was speechless. A Mexican guy telling me that unless I suddenly turned into a Mexican, I wasn't gonna get hired. That was in the mid-to-late '70s, I think.

But it was that way all over. The minimum wage jobs were all but closed off to you if you don't have the correct melanin quotient.

Plus, that hateful phrase that used to be all the rage may be making a silent comeback: "over-qualified."

Well this is going to sound strange but -

I chose a degree that I thought the prospects for a job were GOOD. Had I given NO consideration - I might have chosen Astronomy.
I looked into it. Paid well. DID need a PhD to really get a real job. BUT - there weren't a lot of positions TOTAL, much less available.
So -

I chose Nuclear Engineering.

Then Three Mile Island happened.

So I switched to Electrical Engineering.

(To be completely honest - what I really wanted to do was science WRITING. I love writing. Fairly evident. I love writing about everything, and at the time, I loved reading Carl Sagan as much as I loved reading sci-fi, but I knew I had zero gift for fiction. My Dad persuaded me otherwise, saying that job might be hard to make money at. Sagan said as much, too - he felt he got his niche due to a unique situation in society - one that wouldn't likely re-occur).

I do wonder if college students enter college never giving a thought to where they will work, where the jobs are and how competitive they will be - what kind of grades they will need to get them.

Most government jobs now require college credits. Why?
Was the government so much worse when they hired High School graduates?
I have seen college educated kids who cannot write legibly and cannot spell C-a-t.

Hey Kids, Have You Heard? It’s No Longer Cool To Be A Democrat

The signs are everywhere. The nation’s youth are waking up to the fact that the Democratic left – with its preening, humorless self-righteousness, its relentless judgmentalism, its mask-wearing Hamas-cheering campus-trashing college crybabies, its hypocritical pampered elites, and its octogenarian president who thinks he can buy young people off with abortions, dope, and bailouts – is totally uncool.

It’s about time. Now we just need a national anti-smoking-like campaign to sustain it.

There are so many recent moments showing this shift in attitude that it’s hard to narrow down the list. But here’s a sampling:

  • A CNN poll found that 51% of 18-34-year-olds say they will vote for Donald Trump in November, compared with just 40% who say they will vote for Biden. That’s a stunning turnaround from four years ago.
  • James Carville, that pugilistic former Clinton adviser posted a video in which he says: “It’s horrifying our numbers among younger voters, particularly younger blacks, younger Latinos … younger people of color. Particularly males. We’re not shedding them, they’re leaving in droves.” He later proceeded to mock these same voters, collectively calling those who won’t show up to vote Democratic “you little fu***ing 26-year-old.”
  • New York Times correspondent Jennifer Medina says that the reason many young Latinos are leaving the Democratic plantation is that, while “many of these voters are the children of lifelong Democrats. They find Trump’s anti-establishment energy subversive and appealing.”

RELATED: The Party of ‘Death to America’

Meanwhile, the college protests have succeeded only in making young leftists look like racist pansies who are trashing campuses to defend …. Hamas? A certified terrorist organization whose mission statement is to destroy Israel?

Young people can’t help but notice keffiyeh-wearing students – with the tacit approval of the kowtowing college administrators and the Democratic Party – engaging in nakedly antisemitic chants and even barring pro-Israel blacks from walking across campus.

Young people also have watched as the left turned on beloved liberal authors such as J.K. Rowling and popular liberal black comedians like Dave Chappelle because they won’t bend the knee to the radical transgender movement.

They’re hearing from comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, who was himself recently harassed by Hamas-supporting leftists for being Jewish. He blames the death of comedy on “the extreme left, PC crap, & people worrying so much about offending other people.”

They’re noticing that once liberal favorites, Elon Musk and Bill Maher, to name a couple, have suddenly awakened to the insidiousness of today’s hard-left Democratic Party.

They’re watching the cowardice of the left, such as Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, who literally ran away from a reporter who asked him about the murder of a Chicago police officer.
