the other drawback to sat internet is that it is difficult to get a vpn connect to work with it. I have seen people do it, but the delay sending and receiving data usually messes with it.

Not sure if it's DirecWay or Starband, but one of them actually tells you that their service is not for connecting to VPN's.

What are VPN's?

I live in Hollywood, and was seriously considering purchasing Direct /Tv Internet service.
Do you think it is better than DSL? Faster loading? Reliable?
The price up front is high.......... Also what are VPN'S?? I'm not as smart as you computer guys. Thanks!
