Google Super HighSpeed

I'm wondering if there are any limitations as to distance from major cities. Sure would be nice to get everyone in the boonies with no High Speed options together so they can do what Verizon was supposed to.
Why do they continually add service to areas that are covered by 5 other high speed options and never think to tap into the market that HughesNet and Wildblue are servicing?

I know the answer is VOLUME, VOLUME, VOLUME!

See link about how they are getting communities to decide where to lay fiber for "Fibercommunities" Heres the link:

What kills me is that state is speeding millions of state and federal money to lay a fiber backbone even down into places like St Inigoes, but no private usage of it will be happening.
