Hair Color Specialist

Can anyone recommend someone who specializes in hair color and/or color correction? I love my hair stylist but even she admits she's having trouble getting the "right" color for me. It always tends to end up too gold or reddish looking. So I'm looking for someone who can come closer to my natural hair color and/or a shade that looks good with my fair skin tone. Thanks!

If you have hard water (well system) the salon can use a treatment prior to coloring. That is what I have done. Just a suggestion.

When I was coloring my hair, I had the same problem with the brassiness. My Stylist added more Violet. Ask yours if this might be an option.

My stylist, Micah, at Hair It Is Salon And Spa fixed my hair when I had made a coloring disaster of it. She had to strip it, but I've been happy ever since. The majority of girls there are well-trained in color chemistry.

My hair stylist explained to me that the only way to ensure my hair wouldn't turn reddish/brassy was to stick with browns that are "cooler" which means blue or violet based rather than gold, green or red based. Ever since I tried it and saw the difference I am completely happy with my hair and even color it myself now.

I would think any hair stylist worth their salt would not need to be told about the blue/violet vs red/gold based hair colors. Imwelch's stylist should have already suggested or tried that.

I see Beverly with Bella Salon and Spa, she is one of the owners and she also specializes in color by Redken.

I would deff. suggest Shea Nicole at Hair Cuttery in Prince Frederick.
