Harry Nice Bridge

Went by the Harry Nice Bridge on Wednesday, and the arch portion (steel structure on the old bridge) was still standing. Passed it today and it was almost completely gone!
Does anyone know how they took it down? Was it blown up?

Of that's the Old bridge why isn't the new bridge in video as well, it's only feet away
What you see is most the new one. It appears that that archway was last of the old and the new one's construction doesn't require one.

Ok, but - they're not LEAVING all that crap in the Potomac, are they?

(It's not evident in the video if they "catch" it.)
Not sure. I assume that the dropped it to make a reef. I'm sure they'll clean up what's still at the surface because it is a hazard.

I'm pretty sure the scrap will be salvaged to clear the channel so larger vessels can continue to travel upriver. Demolition just makes it easier to recover the steel with cranes and barges.
