We have a much smaller version of these blue junipers. They do grow pretty fast and I love the color.

Evergreen Hedges - Fast Growing Evergreens for Privacy Hedges

My favorites are the nandinas. Fast growers, very disease resistant and attractive all 4 seasons without being too messy. Nandina domestica (Heavenly Bamboo) grows to 8 feet.

There are a bunch of varieties but some like Heavenly Bambo grow very tall. Like I said, they're a 4 season plant and look great year round with very little maintenance.

It is beautiful - I had it at my old house. Nice thing is it ISN'T really bamboo but has all the pretty characteristics of it without the problems.
