Yeah, if you throw the book at someone, you better make sure that you score a hit.
I don't think the jury bought the 'conspiracy to keep a fed from working' charge and while they were in acquittal mood, they threw out the clearly proven stuff like 'firearm in federal building' along with it.
Annnnd or course the FBtwitterverse is freaking out about this being a sign of "White Privilege". If these folks were black, they would simply be dead. No way would a standoff have lasted 41 days. OF course, we'not yet sen a group of heavily armed blacks take over an empty building in the middle of nowhere where there was nobody around for miles, so it's hard to judge.

The lefties are already upset that the Bundy bunch got an all-white jury. Funny, how they demand a jury that looks like the defendant in other cases, but here it is suddenly a problem.

Well, your peers are your peers. Pretty sure it's not easy to find many black people out there.
You mean like the white folks in Waco?
The trial was in Portland, not Harney Co. I don't think they have a shortage of minorities.
You mean the white folks that had small kids with them? Not defending the Feds actions there, just pointing out the biggest difference that comes to mind.

This article seems the bring the bias but does mention the point of the all white jury.
"Defense lawyer Matthew Schindler, however, pointed out that the jury was representative of Oregon's geographical diversity. The state's population is 88 percent white overall, and it's even whiter among voting-age adults eligible to serve on juries."
"Covarrubias, who works in the Washington County public defender's office, is familiar with the challenges of getting anything but a white point of view from the people in an Oregon jury box.
'Oregon is a very white place,' he said. 'Chances are slim to none you're going to have even one person of color on a jury.'"
It would seem to most that having kids in the compound would have meant they would have given more though to it before they slaughtered and burned them out.
Do you really think the result there was intentional? It's pretty clear the course of action wasn't really optimal, but I disagree with the idea that anyone there said "Screw, it burn the place down, kill them all".

Just looked it up. They DO have a shortage of minorities. 6% black and 7% Asian in Multnomah county.
Maybe we can send them some of ours.
