I used to think that you just pretty much knew a bad word when you heard it in the context. Until I was in Europe and heard some Britts say they were getting p-i-s-s-e-d that night. I thought, at first, it was pretty bold/strange to say that to a stranger and invite her to go along. :confused:



Then I learned it meant 'drunk'. :blushing:

(sorry, admin, for curse word modification, but that was purely for educational/cultural purposes).

Slang is slang. You have to hang in the pubs for about a month before you start to understand. I spent several months several times in England.
