The Porsche Club of America First Settlers Region (PCA FSR) is offering an “Intro to HPDE Seminar” on May 9th in Fredericksburg. PCA FSR extends from Hampton Roads, through Richmond and up to Spotsylvania County and the Northern Neck of Virginia and is excited to have Dominion Raceway within its boundaries. Interested owners of all cars and members of all car clubs are invited to attend. Below is how we are advertising it. Please forward if you have members of your club that may be interested in attending this free event. We do ask participants to register so we have an idea of how much lunch and refreshments to prepare.
Have you wanted to experience the thrill of driving your Porsche or other sports car on a racetrack? Have you heard friends talking about track days and wondered what it was all about? Have you heard about the new Dominion Raceway and were wondering what it takes to drive on that track? If the answer to any of these questions is YES, then please join us for an informative seminar on the ins and outs of High Performance Driver Education (HPDE). The goal of Driver Education is to HAVE FUN, be safe, and learn how to handle your car at speed in a controlled and supportive environment.
Our PCA First Settlers Region Driver Education team will present a detailed program to tell you everything you need to know to take the plunge in Driver's Ed including what to do to prepare for the event (driver and car), what to bring, where to stay, what you will learn, what a typical track day is like etc. A question and answer session will follow the presentation. On hand will be a member of our DE Committee, an instructor, as well as some avid Driver's Education participants.
The free event includes food and refreshments and will kick off at 12 noon on Saturday May 9th at:
