So now we have dumbs cheering for the Iran-backed Houthis, a terrorist group in Yemen.
Houthis have been targeting ships in the Red Sea, including American ships.
As these people protested, the U.S. sank Houthi ships.

Are Progressives Truly Advocating for Palestinian Civilians?
If they truly wished to win people to their side, they would understand that pissing them off isn’t the way to do it. Nevertheless, the pro-Palestinian folks seem content with putting on a show, pretending as if they are genuinely fighting for the Palestinians. It is nothing more than an annoying virtue signal intended to put the spotlight on themselves.
Moreover, if these folks were authentic in their advocacy for the Palestinian people, they certainly would not be defending or propping up Hamas, which has terrorized the populace since taking power in 2007. As I’ve written before, the terrorist group, along with the Palestinian Authority, are the parties who are inflicting dreadful human rights abuses on Arabs living in Gaza and the West Bank.
Even now, they have taken to using Palestinian men, women, and children as human shields, hoping to get them killed so that they have another PR weapon against Israel. Why wouldn’t those claiming to be pro-Palestinian stop traffic while protesting against the terrorist group’s treatment of civilians?
They don’t care, that’s why.
The demonstrations occurring across the country are nothing more than a show. Indeed, their only objective is to perhaps smear Israel while getting attention.
Is it possible that these people erroneously believe they are making a difference? Maybe, for some. But I give them too much credit to think this applies to the majority of them. I don’t believe for a second that most of these individuals are braindead enough to actually believe that preventing people from traveling to work is actually making them want to join the pro-Palestinian movement. As always, progressives are all about the show but not about anything productive.

Not kidding. Palisade Preparatory School in Yonkers, NY, changed its name to the Barack Obama School for Justice at the start of the 2022-23 school year.

Social Media Posts Bashing Israel And Implying Jews “Weaponized Their Religion” Lead To Call For Barrington (RI) School and DEI Committee Member To Resign
A Barrington, Rhode Island, School and DEI committee member set off a firestorm of online criticism after an Instagram account that appears to be hers shared posts crudely bashing Israel, including implying Jews “weaponized their religion” for genocide.
Amanda Basse is an elected Democratic Party member of the Barrington School Committee, which functions as a “School Board” functions in other towns. There are three Democrats and two Independents on the School Committee. Basse also is the co-chair of the Barrington Public School DEI Committee. The DEI Committee promotes “intersectionality” as its 2023-2024 priority.
As described below, posts were shared on what appears to be her Instagram account implying Jews “weaponized their religion” to “ethnically cleanse Palestinians,” as well as other gross pejoratives about Israel. Basse has not responded to our multiple requests for comment.
The controversy swirling around Basse’s remarks is the latest to beset Barrington, where Legal Insurrection is based. Once known as “Borrington” because nothing much happened here, the town has become a hotbed of government and school activism in the past few years, as we previously covered. Controversies have included the town flying the BLM flag over the Veterans Memorial, and then stripping the local veterans group of its role organizing the Memorial Day Parade after it protested. The Town Council even sponsored as an official town event an appearance by Ibram Kendi, while refusing to sponsor an alternative viewpoint.
That activism, we also noted, has seeped into the school system, where “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” has reached near-religious dogma. In 2021, a high school teacher allegedly offered extra credit to students who spoke out against anti-CRT legislation. We later wrote about the parents’ revolt after the school district attempted to eliminate honors courses as part of an ‘equity’ and ‘deleveling’ agenda. And, in a series of posts, we covered the termination of three religious Christian teachers after the district refused covid-vax religious waivers, resulting in a lawsuit and large payout.
Basse’s social media posts have put the Barrington school system back in the spotlight in an unfavorable way.
In addition to her school committee and DEI committee membership, Basse sits on the Board of Directors of Alliance of Rhode Island Southeast Asians for Education (ARISE), an organization that trains Southeast Asian and other Rhode Island youth of color to become activists—“Youth Leaders”—supporting Critical Race Theory (CRT). ARISE promotes ethnic studies, a program for pushing CRT—and, more recently, anti-Zionist content—into the public school curriculum, as we explain here, by casting Jews and the state of Israel as “white” oppressors.
I wrote that piece after viewing the disgusting behavior–and cultish behavior–of the pro-Hamas crowd after San Francisco made its ridiculous call for a cease-fire. That a city government felt the need to do this was ridiculous, but then again the whole city is ridiculous.
The video was bizarre.
Today I saw more evidence of just how awful the behavior of the activists was during the hearing before the vote to condemn Israel.
An honest-to-God Jewish man who lost five family members in the Hamas attacks and who had two cousins taken hostage was heckled by the activists.
Five of his family members were killed, and they make pig-snorting sounds at him.

A spokesman for Harvard University told The Daily Wire that Jackson is an employee of a different company contracted to perform groundskeeping work.
“The University is aware of an incident that took place on Wednesday morning inside Harvard Yard between a contract worker and another individual,” the spokesman said. “Harvard strongly condemns the individual’s conduct reflected in the video of the incident, and, as a result, the contract worker was directed to leave campus, and his employer has been notified that the individual may not be assigned to return to campus to perform work in the future.”

Protesters Disrupt Easter Services At St. Patrick’s Cathedral: “Free, Free Palestine”
The “Long Live the Intifada” and “From the River to the Sea” and “Free, Free Palestine” protesters run amok are our common enemy. This is not about “the Jews” – it’s about a deep hatred of Western civiliations (Christians and Jews), capitalism, and romanticism of the most vile misogyny provided it wraps itself in an Islamic flag.
We’ve seen them block major roadways, taunt child patients at a cancer hospital, harass Jewish students, vandalize Jewish businesses, use bullhorns inside libraries and study areas to intimidate students (Cornell), attack police, and many other anti-social activities.
Just the latest iteration was the disruption last night of Easter Services at New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the most visible and significant Catholic church in the United States. It started as a climate protest but quickly devolved into shouts of “Free, Free Palestine” by one of the protesters.
The groups are inextricably intertwined, something I’ve noted many times regarding anti-Israel faculty and students in higher education – the anti-Israel activists are the anti-American activists, are the anti-Western activists. They are united in their desire to tear down our society.
