Tim Ryan: Biden Calling GOP ‘Semi-Fascist’ Won’t Hurt Dems with Voters — They Want to ‘Punish People’

Guest anchor Victor Blackwell asked, “The president said that a portion of the Trump movement, the extreme MAGA philosophy he calls, it’s like semi-fascism. Does that hurt you with the voters you need to win in November?”

Ryan said, “No, no. Look, it’s straight. If you’re storming the Capitol on January 6th, if you’re beating the United States Capitol Police over the head with a lead pipe in order to overturn an election, if you are making bold steps to ban books and to do all of these things to the point where you want to control a woman’s body to the point where if a 10-year-old girl is raped you say that the government should mandate that pregnancy. You have a Supreme Court Justice saying they want to get rid of birth control, nullify marriages. What else would you talk about? How else do you explain this other than a small group of people who have hijacked the Supreme Court? They’ve hijacked state legislatures.”

He added, “What they’ve done in the short term and what they’re going to do in the long term is continue to hurt working-class people. We’re not going to have a great economy if we have a government that’s interfering in everybody’s personal life. They want to punish businesses where they don’t agree with the culture like they’re doing down in Florida. This is huge governmental overreach, the largest governmental overreach we’ve seen in our lifetimes. A complete violation of personal freedoms, free markets, free businesses. This is a governmental attack. So, these people, you can call it what you want, but to me, it seems a lot like people who want to get a hold of the government and punish people and control people.”

Democratic Gubernatorial Candidate Who Defended COVID Lockdowns in Court Now Says They Were a Mistake

As the invocation of law enforcement suggests, those weren't really guidelines at all. Lots of states took aggressive action to limit social interactions in the early days of the pandemic, but few states went further than Pennsylvania. On March 19, 2020, Gov. Tom Wolf and his top public health officials drew up an arbitrary list of "non-life-sustaining" businesses that would be forced to close until further notice—many were not allowed to reopen for months, and then had to endure (or ignore) further state-mandated shutdowns during the holiday season. Federal labor data would later show that only Michigan and Puerto Rico saw a greater number of business closures due to government mandates during those first few months of the pandemic.

Publicly, Shapiro encouraged Pennsylvanians to report their neighbors for violating those lockdowns. Professionally, he went to state and federal courts (as was his duty as attorney general) to assert Wolf's authority to issue those shutdown orders.

Now that he's running for governor, however, Shapiro says that he was privately against it all.

"This is an area where I think folks got it wrong," Shapiro said of school and business shutdowns in an interview with the Associated Press. On mask and vaccine mandates, Shapiro told the A.P.'s Marc Levy that he believed the state needed to "educate" and "empower" individuals to make the best decisions for themselves.

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) fired back at left-leaning MeidasTouch on Tuesday after they fired off a tweet claiming that he had called for the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be defunded.

The conversation began with a “NEW UNDERCOVER” video posted by Lauren Windsor that claimed Cruz was on board with defunding the Bureau — despite the fact that he simply nodded along while the person taking the video appeared to be the one making all the assertions.

“I wanted to say, thank you so much for all you’re doing to fight for Herschel Walker and to take back the Senate,” the woman said, shaking Cruz’s hand. “And I just think it’s so important that you guys are actually going to defund all those IRS agents.”

“Absolutely,” Cruz interjected, but the woman kept talking.

“But I think it’s imperative that you really have to defund the FBI after all the witch hunts that are going on,” she continued — and Cruz could be seen first briefly nodding and then shaking his head, a move that was described by Windsor as Cruz “nodding in agreement.”

What Cruz actually said was as follows: “It is horrific the abuse of power at the FBI, and it’s wrong. And there needs to be a complete housecleaning that happens at the FBI.”

“Are y’all going be able to do that when you regain the Senate?” the woman asked.

“I think we need to fight to do that,” Cruz said, adding, “And we need to fight to have real oversight.”

MeidasTouch ran with Windsor’s caption comment, however, tweeting, “Ted Cruz wants to defund the FBI.”

At some point towards the end of his second term in office, Barack Obama made a comment during an interview when he basically said that after he left office “his work was not finished.” Indeed, it wasn’t. He had been unable to complete his “fundamental transformation” of America during his eight years in the White House. While he had to wait for four years during the Trump presidency, Obama was hell bent that he was going to complete the transformation under the Joe Biden regime.

Everyone recognizes that Joe Biden is barely conscious most of the time. He has no real clue what’s being done under his name, and he has no real authority anyway. Loyal Obamunists like Susan Rice and all the other retreads from the Obama years are the real authority in the White House. Joe Biden says what he’s told to say, signs whatever document they slide in front of him, and then dutifully - much like a Third Grader on his way to the toilet - follows whatever instructions he’s given as he walks away from the podium. He’s an empty suit, and an empty head.

The Obamunists are committed to achieving Barack Obama’s goal. They will do whatever it takes, both legal and illegal. They are true believers in the mantra “the ends justify the means.” We, in turn, must be even more committed to fighting back to prevent this small minority - just like the Bolshevik Revolution was a small minority who imposed communism on the rest of the Russian people for decades - from destroying the America that we love.

How do we fight back? We can’t just be ‘Keyboard Commandos,’ venting on social media and doing little else. We must become better organized than they are. We must become the ‘Foot Soldiers for American Freedom,’ and be prepared to respond to any threat, any action or tactic that comes from them. We run for local elected offices. City council, county council, local and state election officials, other state and local offices. Even condo and subdivision associations. We take these offices back from them and remove them from any position of influence or authority. If we don’t run for city council, then we at least come together and attend their meetings so that we can see firsthand what they are up to, and voice our objections.

Leftist Group Tries to Mimic Project Veritas With Undercover Footage of Ted Cruz but Only Embarrasses Itself

A video from a group called “Undercurrent” is seen speaking to Texas Senator Ted Cruz at an event. The woman says she loves the fact that Cruz wants to defund the IRS and then also notes that the FBI should be defunded too. Cruz says that the abuses of the FBI cannot go unpunished and said there needs to be a “housecleaning” of the agency.

And that’s it.

The left is treating it as some “gotcha” moment for Cruz but while they’re patting themselves on the back, Cruz himself decided to weigh in on the video and confirm that everything he said is something he stands by.

As CNN’s Daniel Dale notes, this undercover sting isn’t anything to write home about. Dale points out that Cruz doesn’t actually agree to the defunding, but instead pivots to “housecleaning,” and also that head nods and head-shakes don’t actually count as answers.

“That’s some weak sauce,” tweeted Dale.

The best part is that if Cruz had actually said he’d love to defund the FBI, it’d be hard for his base to disagree. Right now, the FBI is clearly a weaponized agency for the Democrats that has enough time on its hands to raid the homes of former presidents and manipulate social media companies into censoring news stories that may harm the Democrat Party.

Democrats seek to marginalize — and ultimately disenfranchise — Republicans and conservatives by constantly lying about us. Whenever I see liberal rants against Republicans on social media, I can tell that the ranter hasn’t had any meaningful contact with a conservative in his or her life. They’re all railing against a HuffPo caricature of what a conservative is.

Fearmongering about Republican motives and policies is nothing new for the Democrats. They’ve been telling people for decades that any suggestions by the GOP about making Medicare or Social Security more financially solvent will result in the death of every grandma and grandpa in America.

What has changed now is the level of hyperbole and the complete absence of truthfulness in their rhetoric. There was a time when the Dems didn’t lie about virtually everything. It’s now pathological with them. The pathological penchant for prevarication (alliteration gold star to me) is the reason they can keep straight faces when saying things like Republican opposition to the Inflation Reduction Act means that we all want the planet to die. Never mind that the bill does nothing to reduce inflation and that it’s merely a boondoggle sop to Big Green, the mean Republicans want to see Floaty the Polar Bear bobbing on waves down the streets of Manhattan.

The laundry list of things they lie about grows every day and has done so at a greater pace since Donald Trump won the 2016 election. Russia collusion. J6 was an insurrection. The 2020 presidential election was one of the cleanest ever. Republican efforts to shore up election integrity are racist.

Lefty Rag Says ‘Islamophobia’ Is Worse Than Ever, So Why Is It So Hard to Find Any?

Yet this story was in the New York Post, picked up from Australia’s News.com.au. Why? Because it features a Muslim as a victim, and even though she is only the victim of a tongue-lashing from a lout, the “Islamophobia” narrative needs shoring up.

While Christians are routinely the victims of jihad massacres and jihadis frequently brutalize Hindus as well, incidents of actual “Islamophobia” are so rare that the international media has to grab and run with a video of a guy getting loud on a train.

Meanwhile, note the Post’s headline: “Australian good Samaritan protects woman threatened by anti-Muslim bigot on train.” Calling the lout an “anti-Muslim bigot” implies that this is an incident of some white racist yahoo threatening an innocent brown Muslim. Yet if you watch the video or read far down into the story, you’ll find a surprise. In its eleventh paragraph, the report states: “While much of what the man said was incoherent, some viewers were able to translate parts of his rant from Arabic. ‘He is speaking Arabic with a Lebanese accent. He’s not very coherent but appears he has something against Muslims. Obviously, he’s Christian, as he uses the word Rab which means God,’ one person claimed in a comment.”

Rab is actually “Lord,” but close enough. The shouting guy is actually an Arabic-speaking Lebanese Christian. There goes the “racism” narrative. Also, the Christians in Lebanon suffered tremendously from Muslim persecution during the Lebanese civil war of 1975-1990; it is entirely possible that this man has the trauma of that persecution in mind when he is shouting here. But the “journalists” involved in writing, publishing, and internationally distributing this story don’t bother to mention that. It would interfere with the “Islamophobia” narrative.

Jihad activity is continuing all over the world. Just days ago, a Muslim in France admitted that he had murdered his Jewish housemate with an axe because he was Jewish. A hadith has Muhammad saying that Muslims can hasten the last days by killing Jews: “The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews” (Sahih Muslim 6985).

But Salon, and the Left in general, is far too worried about “Islamophobia,” i.e., people yelling rude things on trains, to be concerned about that. (Salon doesn’t make any mention of that killing in France.) The narrative must be preserved at all costs.

Top Democrat congressional aide caught defacing Rep Greene's posters leaving post Friday

The chief of staff for Democrat Rep. Jake Auchincloss who was caught defacing posters outside of GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's office has resigned from his post.

Chief of Staff Tim Hysom will step down Friday, according to Rhode Island TV station WPRI-12.

"I appreciate Tim’s service in my office and wish him all the best in his new endeavor," Auchincloss told the TV station.

Hysom will reportedly be joining a different congressional office, after working for Auchinson for about a year.

In June, Greene, a firebrand conservative, revealed the U.S. Capitol Police force had issued an arrest warrant for Hysom after he was repeatedly caught on surveillance camera putting stickers on one of the congresswoman's posters outside of her office.

ABC News Is Now Asking Uncomfortable Questions About Biden, Shady Dem Tactic of Boosting MAGA Candidates

During the panel segment, Raddatz returned to the topic, asking USA Today Washington bureau chief Susan Page about the question “[she] asked Keisha Lance Bottoms and that is, the funding of extreme candidates by the Democrats. How much does that hurt them and should Biden speak out and say, wait a minute?”

The host continued:

I mean, again, the Democrats are hoping if they fund these extreme candidates they’ll run against those extreme candidates and they’ll win. But the look is not good.

Page noted, and Raddatz agreed, that both Bottoms’ non-answer and the look she shot Raddatz showed she didn’t want to answer a question like that. You’d have to guess she thought she was in friendly territory on a show like “This Week,” full of softball questions she’s prepared to knock out of the park.

Then Page delved into the ramifications of Democrats ducking the question–including the leader of their party, Joe Biden:

The question — she didn’t defend this practice of trying to boost the most extreme candidate on the other side in the hopes of an easier general election. But the risk is, sometimes the other candidate might get actually elected. And you have helped elect put in office an election denier.
It also cedes the high ground. The Democrats — the cases where the Democrats have done it, they have ceded the political high ground and I think that — I think — I would like to hear President Biden answer a direct question about this.

Now Is the Time for Democrats to Ban Dark Money From Primaries

Big money—increasingly laundered through independent groups that do not disclose their donors—is corrupting our politics. In this election season alone, the Wesleyan Media Project reports, nearly 60 percent of the ads aired in Democratic House primaries were purchased by groups that offered only partial disclosure of their donors—or none at all. Progressive challengers in contested primaries were often the leading targets of these dark money groups.

Democrats have long condemned the Big Money corruption of our politics—but reforms passed by the House of Representatives have repeatedly been torpedoed by Republican filibusters in the Senate. This month, however, Democrats could—if they choose—crack down on dark money poisoning their own primaries. And small-d democrats across the country should join in calling for them to act. Since the courts treat the Democratic National Committee and the party essentially as a club with free association rights, the party can make and enforce its own rules for how its candidates are selected—without the need for Republican cooperation. A resolution introduced by Judith Whitmer, chair of the Nevada Democratic Party—along with 33 of her fellow DNC members—calls on the party to “ban the use of ‘dark money’ funding during any and all Democratic primary elections.” DNC Resolution 19 also calls for mechanisms to investigate the use of dark money, explore possible disciplinary action, and empower states to set rules in their primaries to ensure transparency.

As Democrats from Joe Biden on down have argued, campaign finance reform is long overdue. This primary season has dramatized just how corrupt and corrosive the current system is.

Perhaps the most egregious example has been provided by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee—AIPAC—and its various independent expenditure fronts. Republican megadonors Bernie Marcus and Paul Singer gave one of AIPAC’s fronts, the United Democracy Project, $1 million apiece prior to the Democratic primaries. UDP then boasted about the millions it spent to target progressive Democratic candidates—primarily progressive women of color.

Democrat Las Vegas Official Robert Telles Arrested, Charged With Murder of Investigative Reporter

Earlier on Wednesday, I reported that the Democrat Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles had a search warrant executed at his home in connection with a homicide investigation. I detailed the victim Jeff German, an investigative reporter who was found deceased on Sunday. German had published an expose detailing hostile work environment complaints lodged by Telles’ employees and outing his affair with a staffer shortly before Nevada’s primary, in which Telles lost his re-election bid. German was working on another story about Telles at the time he was murdered.

Telles has now been arrested on suspicion of murder, Sheriff Joe Lombardo told The Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Less than a day after asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in the stabbing death of Las Vegas Review-Journal investigative reporter Jeff German, police arrested Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles on Wednesday on suspicion of murder, Sheriff Joe Lombardo said.

Lombardo is also the GOP nominee for Governor.

Democrats Dangerously Copy The Tactics Of Famous Fascists

Once in power, the gloves came off. The Reichstag fire in February 1933 was used as a premise to target political opponents and curtail civil liberties. A month later, Parliament passed the Enabling Act, allowing Hitler’s cabinet to make laws without legislative participation. In June 1933, Nazis outlawed opposition parties and, in December, the lines between party and government were erased. In January 1934, the Nazis eliminated the last vestiges of opposition when states lost their voice in government.

240538_5_.jpg

Image: A viral internet meme following Biden’s unprecedented speech.

In two years, the Nazis went from being a fringe party to having a stranglehold on the German government and people. It was then that they unleashed their previously subdued anti-Semitism, from boycotts to book burnings to de facto discrimination to de jure separation (Nuremberg laws) and, finally, to the Final Solution.

[clip]

Beginning in 2020, in response to COVID, primarily Democrat-run states and municipalities across the country instituted draconian lockdown edicts that eviscerated individual rights, destroyed small businesses, and ostracized or arrested individuals who resisted. Simultaneously teachers’ unions nationwide forced school shutdowns, leading to extraordinary declines in student learning and dramatic increases in youth depression. Those seen questioning the efficacy of or damage from such lockdowns and shutdowns were unconstitutionally muzzled when the administration covertly worked with social media companies to silence and de-platform them.

The Biden administration issued mandates for rapidly developed vaccines of dubious efficacy and unknown danger; then coerced private enterprises to enforce them. Questioning that policy or non-acquiescence with it was seen as a proxy for opposition to the regime, so the government and allied businesses threatened and destroyed livelihoods.

When Americans stood up to school boards, complaining about their children being exposed to sexualization in schools or being accused of being racists because of the color of their skin, Biden’s Justice Department branded them as terrorists.

The Biden administration’s threatening, intimidating, and jailing of its opposition set the backdrop for Joe Biden’s extraordinary speech on September 1, when he stated, “Donald Trump and the MAGA Republicans represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our Republic.” This was not a campaign speech; this was the President officially addressing American citizens…and calling 70 million of them terrorists.

This brings us back to Germany in 1932. Just as the Nazis used their toehold on power to take total control of the government and methodically use that government first to slander, then marginalize and, finally, to cleave from society the hated Jews who were said to be less than human, the Democrats first used their control over the media, local governments, and myriad alphabet agencies to take over the federal government and are using that government to slander, marginalize, and cleave from society the millions of Americans who disagree with their leftist agenda.

These are not just idle words: It’s Joe Biden, the head of the American government, with all the resources at its disposal, telling 70+ million Americans they are a threat to the nation. And in case anyone missed the point, after having just passed a law to hire 87,000 armed IRS agents, the administration hired Nikole Flax, who worked with Lois Lerner at the IRS when it was targeting conservatives during the Obama administration, to run the new division. Joe Biden and the Democrats have just created the largest armed police force in the nation and set as its leader someone associated with the targeting of their political opponents.

Joe Biden’s words are not just words…they’re threats. The leader of the government paints his political opponents as extremists and then exhorts his supporters to “confront” them. “We’re all called by duty and conscience to confront extremists who put their own pursuit of power above all else.”

None of this means that by 2025 we’ll have concentration camps filled with emaciated conservatives, but it’s not like there’s no precedent. Still, unlike the Germans after 1932, Americans can do something about this, making their voices heard and changing the course of history.

Democrats Deliver Disgusting Takes About the Death of Queen Elizabeth II

On Thursday, as RedState reported, Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 96. She lived a life fuller than most, standing as a symbol of hope and decency for the country she represented.

The British monarch served in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World War II before taking the throne in 1952 after the death of her father. Since then, she’s been the most prolific royal since Britain’s move to a constitutional and parliamentary system. No matter one’s thoughts on the idea of having a royal family, there’s no question she was beloved by her country and many others outside it.

Of course, leave it to the American left to show how disgusting people can be. The Atlantic’s Jemele Hill and others decided to make the queen’s death about racism and colonialism because why wouldn’t they?
