I am in the LaPlata area. thank you for that link I will check it out when I get home! The mini vacation is going to be for his birthday we will see how that goes.

happyappy gave you some really good ideas, BUT in case this horse itch isn't thoroughly scratched on an annual basis, MD Horse Industry Board also lists licensed stables throughout the state that have rentals.

You could check your area or areas that you will be willing to drive for possibilities. The listings are by county and if they have rentals there will be a mark in that column.
