To an extent. It's more today that the people in Calvert believe they're waaay more important and special than they really are. Back then the Commissioners didn't recognize what was happening. I was at one meeting when one of them couldn't figure out where all the kids were coming from because, as he stated, people with kids couldn't afford to buy the houses ($150K) then being built.

We have a place wanting to open in North Beach right now that's claiming to be like Trader Joe's. Except it's going to carry national brands like Tropicana. People are shitting themselves in excitement.
