I thought I'd get some new Crocs today, but the number at Sassafras Hill is disconnected...have they gone out of business :(

Is there another place nearby that sells Crocs?

I saw some at the Famous Footwear in La Plata. You might want to try the one by Marshall's or check the Crocs website for store locations.

They packed up shop last month, and then about a week later the Sherif's Office posted a notice of eviction on there door. Guess cause they just left without paying the rest of there rent or something.

That stinks, they owed me money for my kids clothes I consigned there. She probably went back to Germany. Gonna look for her other #s I had. Wonder what do I do to try to get my money owed or is it a lost cause??? Thats stealing from my kids!!! They could of contacted the customers to buy when they marked everything down. A Dollar General employee said they marked everything down to clear it out and then they were gone!

I know I saw crocks at Dicks sporting goods before? worth a shot. My sister in law told me the same lady is now running a thrift store in Charlotte hall behind Ritas called vintage values and that they sell crocks and most of the stuff from sassafrass hill is there for sale now.

I brought in BAGS of clothes, and then when I went back in the following week to pick up what they weren't going to consign, she told me they were going to close at the end of April, and that I'd either have to donate what I gave them, or I could come and pick up my stuff, but that I'd have to look through the racks for my clothes/number myself. I told them that if I had known they were going to close, I wouldn't have bothered consigning at the time - I always get my clothes b/c I either consign them elsewhere, or I give them to my kid's clothing drive... anyway, I was VERY annoyed b/c I work, and didn't have time to look through tons of racks. I managed to get there the week after easter, the weekend before they closed, and got most of my stuff, and a final check.

I'm sorry they didn't let you know, that's strange b/c they always called me when they wanted me to come either get my check or pick up any leftovers...

That does stink. A shame you weren't contacted by them ahead of time.
I always liked browsing through that place, though I usually didn't buy any (crafts, etc)...they seemed $$$.
