URGENT NOTICE TO THE COMMUNITY
LEONARDTOWN, MD – St. Mary's County Public Schools are closed Wednesday, August 31, 2011, with a Code 2 for employees. Parents and guardians are asked, when possible, to stay tuned to www.smcps.org on the internet, and to local TV and radio stations for any additional updates. The public meeting of the Board of Education of St. Mary’s County scheduled for Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at 5:30 p.m., will take place as scheduled.
St. Mary's County Public Schools will open on time, Thursday, September 1st. Please review your child's bus stop and plan accordingly if it is compromised due to storm damage. Buses will alter the routes and stops as necessary. All student absences for Thursday and Friday will be coded as lawful, in consideration of those families without the resources to contact the school.
Yeah I am a substitute teacher for the school district. Waiting to see how long it takes before Subfinder calls me...
