Switching to Verizon Unlimited?

I dumped Verizon years ago over the monthly outlandish Blackberry charges.
These last few years I have been using Boost, they offered a deal for up to three phones at 30 dollars a month ( that's everything included ) for each phone. It includes unlimited text, calling and 10 Meg of 3-4 G internet.

What's a Blackberry??

BUT, why a Jetpack? With unlimited you can just use the hotspot on your phone, or is there a benefit to a jetpack I don't understand??

The Verizon guy said having everyone key off your phone for wi-fi will drain it and possibly over heat it.
Apparently the Jetpack is designed as a hotspot. Also, multiple devices on a phone will either seriously degrade in performance
or the phone might not even be able to tether to too many devices.

Anyway - it's clear we use way too little data for it to help us.
