IMO The Republicans, at least the ones who still support Trump are more than anxious for Trump to fire Sessions.
Many wonder why he hasn't already done so.
It isn't the Republicans Trump is worried about it is the Senate. The Senate --a closed group of a-holes who look out for each other.
More of a fraternity than anything else.
They bark and growl at each other, but they are all Brothers and Sisters in this powerful fraternity and they look out for each other.
As proof I give you John Kerry's confirmation as Secretary of State.
94 to 3 to approve. They all knew he was a traitor, but they looked out for him.
Hillary Clinton Once a Senator, not a good one, but they have ignored her term as S.O.S.
Selling her office for money to her foundation, her private server,her dirty trick of the Russian Dossier.
The President does not need to get the Senate against him by firing one of their own.
Especially not right before the mid terms.
Even though Sessions is worse than useless, and is also hiding Hillary because she is one of them.
Perhaps after the mid-terms Sessions will be fired.---hopefully.
Sessions may not have been a world beater as a Senator, but as an Attorney General he is even more useless than Balls on Bruce Jenner.

Only if the R's keep the senate, if the D's take over than he's got to find a compromise candidate (and you know how well D's like to compromise).
#1, I don't think Trump is afraid. Just because some anonymous source in the NYT newsroom says he's afraid doesn't mean he really is. I think the establishment tards are ####ting themselves in fear, but if it were up to Trump alone he'd have fired Sessions months ago. Trump is well within his rights to fire Sessions, and he knows it, but Lindsey Graham, Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, etc are freaking at the thought of all out war with the Dems because they're wussy boy cowards. I don't think Trump fears that at all - I think he welcomes it. He's an old school street brawler and pissing people off doesn't appear to bother him.
#2, it would be nice if you were more realistic about politics and not so silly.
The Dems are not going to take over the Senate. They aren't even going to take over the House. This Kavanaugh stunt pretty much scotched that, on top of them running all these crazy Socialists that no moderate swing voter will touch.

You make no sense. You say it’s not up to him when it is. Why does he care what Graham, Ryan, and McConnel think? What do you call it when you don’t do something because you are worried about the repercussions?
There is nothing silly about prosecuting criminals. There are plenty of instances of Congress critters getting investigated and even arrested.
I don't even know why I read your stupid posts. You are the king of circular logic and deliberate obtuseness.

I have to think somewhere along the line, people know these are lies and have been promised nothing will come of it.
I find it way too odd that every person accusing Kavanaugh has a Democrat background of vigorously opposing Trump.
Personally, I think if they take him down, he should follow up behind it. The press will call it revenge, but the fact is,
you cannot make up accusations against people and not have to pay the same cost the rest of us would.

As angering as this whole thing is, many of us are old enough to know that this is what we expect from democrats. As Bann said, this is just recycled stuff from their playbook. What more angering is how republicans keep getting sucked into these things, giving credibility to incredible things. This is the antithesis of what it means to 'serve the people'.

Apparently, Kavanaugh has released detailed calendars from that time period, which shows lots of information about where he was and who he was with and none of them have any of the people Ford claims were present at this party.
It is beginning to look more and more like completely made up crap sprung from the mind of someone who - in their struggle to remember events when they were passing out drunk a generation ago, misremembered events or have been otherwise duped by a Democratic leadership willing to do anything to scuttle his nomination.
Last I heard, they didn't CARE if any of it is true, because "it's credible". So - it's a believable lie. That's where we're at.

Yeah, I heard about the calendar. With all that we already know, the calendar shouldn't even be needed. But it is a bonus to shut the whole thing down.
In your second paragraph is where we might differ. I don't think Ford is struggling to remember anything. She's already been outed as an anti-Trump activist. It appears to me that she is a willing pawn, willing to destroy her own reputation, in order to take Trump down. It has become so easy to make up sexual abuse these days and make it stick. You know how it goes "she has to be believed".
