Yes, I agree ol' dubya is headed straight to the crapper as the worst president in American history according to the latest Rasmussen/USA Today polls. Record deficit. The 3 trillion dollar war. We are in a recession.No fix to social security or health care. Crumbling economy with the subrime mortgage mess.Homes not selling. Troops dying every day. Record gas prices. On and on the list goes.I never thought I would live to see any president be more unpopular than Hoover or Tricky Dicky Nixon

This one is going to be hard to top. The only thing left for him to do is get caught doing something illegal. I'm sure he has done something.... He just hasn't been caught yet.

I agree and sure he has does something wrong it just has not been caught. After all he does own big stakes in some oil companies,wonder why oil prices are skyrocketing and he cannot seem to help matters any.

I agree with that too I would vote for John before any of the others on the Dems side and I am a Democrat-We have no one to vote for.

Bush screwed up SS too. Yep, all by himself. HE spent all the money in the account, not congress.

And he owns all the oil companies. He's forcing China to over populate and buy up all the resources so demand goes through the roof.

Bush also made all those people stupid so they'd go buy houses that they couldn't afford. Yep, his fault.

Oh lets not forget health care. He personally made it so ppl. wouldn't have any.

Hoover gets a bad rap for not taking dramatic government action to alleviate the Great Depression. W is proving right now that there are plenty of economic issues that are immune to dramatic government action.

FDR showed what some good old fashioned communism and a real war could do. Hoover's solutions, less is more, would have left us a free nation with individuals still able to figure things out and move on. FDR established big government as a matter of course to our long term detriment.

Nixon was not reviled until Watergate came along. Bill Clinton's abuse of power makes Nixon look like a piker on comparison. One of Nixon's people had 1 FBI file and went to jail for it. The Clinton's had over 1,000 and still haven't paid for it.

W will have to face the judgment of time for his handling of the major issues of the day. He deserves to fare rather poorly.

And to add... things like recessions and housing turndowns happen all the time. Things like oil prices aren't long remembered. It's the major things that make the president's history... like getting impeached. If things keep turning around in Iraq, and stability is brought to the Middle East, then all the minutae of the Bush era will be long forgotten.

How can we get a scale that goes into the negative in regards to these three? Our country doesn't stand a chance from one perspective but then again, we're a resilient people, kinda like grass that grows over abandoned parking lots. Now if just the Socialists would abandon America and go back to Russia!
