You can see a lot of other wireless signals. are you seeing them outside of your home or where you're using your wifi? I ask this because if their signal is good enough to use inside your home then yours should be too. Go to a room where your signal is crappy and compare it to theirs and use that as a a baseline on whether you need to replace yours or not. Type 192.168.100.1 in your address bar and view your modems signal and power, may help you out.
