My whole life changed on May 27th
God opened up the skies and shimmered a ray from heaven
I never thought I could feel such an overwhelming joy
I can't believe I ever wished you were a boy
What I see in your eyes makes me realize that I
should be happy to be alive, now I think before I drink and drive
You and your sister make me happy to be a dad
And I'm glad I have this wonderful life that I never had
Work today was so loud
I drowned it out and thought how
You took six steps and I was so proud
