Not much new in here but a good, refreshing read for those with teens. :yay:
I hate to think that anyone with teens doesn't already know this. I placate myself with the knowledge that they'll be adults a lot longer than they'll be teenagers.

Musing:

I let my 13 year old draw and write all over her walls. After years of fussing at kids for that very same thing, I've finally come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter. Emilie has turned her whole bedroom into a diary with artwork and she loves it that way. At first I figured I can just paint over it when she grows up and moves out. But now I think it would probably break my heart to eradicate her "Emilieisms".

But wait, there's more...

You oughta get creative and come up with some way to capture those things for when she's older ... like when she gets married or something. Depending on whether you wanted to be sentimental or embarrass her, it would be a neat idea. :yay:

Yeah, we're talking about building a house over on the greenhouse property and I'm trying to figure out how to take down her walls and bring them to the new house.

Isn't it stupid the things we think about when kids are little? Then you get all old and sentimental and wish you had all those wall scribblings that you smacked their butts over.

Does she have a piece of furniture ... like a table or desk ... in her room? If so, you could take digital pictures of various things she wrote on the walls, print them out, and decoupage them to the piece of furniture for her. That way she can always have those memories and things.

Or you could take digital pictures and then have them printed up actual size by a sign making place and put them up on the wall (kinda like the mural wallpaper designs).
