12 of the first 20 bikes listed in the classified ads are Harleys, and you're asking $9K for a 21 year old ride? I think I see the problem.

She advertised it for her dad. I thought it was high also, I asked about a lower price but figured if he would take less - it would have posted for less to start out. She gave the number in case anyone wanted to haggle.

As Citizen Fear said I posted this for my Dad. I spoke with him last night and he is willing to come down on price. I know he paid close to this price for the bike when he got it about a year ago and has put work into it to fix it up and make it run like new.

Yes its a bike. Yes it is an older model. I know nothing about bikes. I did this for my Dad. If you are interested in speaking with him, please give him a call. The number is on the ad. If you want to see pictures, there is a link to the pictures on the ad as well. If you just want to give me a hard time for trying to help out my dad, find someone else to pick on.

Sorry Guys. I am pregnant so I am taking things a little personally. I know no one is picking on me or giving me a hard time, damn hormones!!!

I thank everyone for your input on the price, but unfortunatly the only one that can do anything about that is my Dad.

I do however wonder where the orange truck comment came from????

ah ok. I was sitting here trying to figure out who in my family ever drove an orange truck! See, my hormones are all out of whack and my brain doesnt work either!!! LOL!

Well, aps was a bit snarky, but that's his nature. Unfortunatly for your Dad, the market is pretty much flooded with used Harleys these days, so it will come down to how badly he wants to sell. Maybe a consignment sale or trade is an option; bike for boat, or whatever? Just throwing out some ideas. Good luck, and take care!

Thanks Ed! I did talk with him and explain to him, and my Mother, that like the horse market right now, the motorcycle market is flooded and that he may have to take way less. But, we shall see. The economy sucks!!!
