1st Quarter Report Cards

My son has been freaking out all week telling me that he needs the juice boxes NOW!!! I told him that I'd get it on Thursday. I stuck it in his bookbag for tomorrow. Man is it heavy now. Glad he's the one who has to carry it tomorrow and not me!

I'll PM you my address if you want to drop off a cupcake for me!!

No, atleast for Patuxent Elementary, parents have to schedule a conference with the teacher. 2nd-4th quarters they get an actual report card. Nothing like having to take 2 hours leave from work to spend 5 minutes with the teacher to find out that my son is doing great and there are no problems. I would think the teachers would rather talk to the parents of students having issues. You only get 15 minutes to spend with the teacher so if your child is falling behind, you don't have alot of time to discuss it.

sometimes it's nice to get to talk to parents and only have good things to say. after a while, you get awfully tired of being the bearer of bad news. (it's also a nice change when a parent occasionally says thank you for making an impact on their child :hint hint

I love him!! Great teacher... So I went to the store to pick up something and ran into kiddos teacher She was able to tell me what they didn't have much of

He seemed pretty nice and laid back when I met him at the Open House. Son has been pretty lucky in getting nice teacher. K= McClure 1st= Brooks (LOVED HER!!) and now Mr Taylor.

My 3rd grader had K= McCLure 1st = Brooks and 2nd = Hewitt..........LOVED them all!!!!! Never had Mr. Taylor but know him and know quite a few people who have had him and he is ABSOLUTLEY WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! Prayer my Kindergartner gets him in 2 years!!!!!

No problem Hope they have fun today. My son loved it last year. My oldest says it's "boring"

I guess I'll find out at 4:20 when he steps off the bus. He was still freaking out to his dad this morning about it. I guess this is the first time they've done a field trip that wasn't an all day affair.
