They're so adorable! What is the carseat test? To see if he fits in one?
I already bought car seats that were designed for 4+ pounders so they'll fit - the test is that they put them in the seats for 90 minutes and they pass if they have no episodes (drops in heart rate, breathing). Right now the episodes are far and few between and usually mean something is up (last time Baby B had 2 episodes, his CBC was low and he got transfused) and they're usually positional (if the head isn't in a position to allow stong flow down the neck). As they get older and stronger they can better control this on their own so it's really just a preemie thing.
So it looks like in *maybe* 2 more weeks I can have Baby B home!! That's the estimate they're giving me anyway for now. . . . . he's working his way up to full feeds, then just has to pass the car seat test!!
Baby A has a stricture from the NEC, so it will be a bit longer on him as he's not feeding at all right now.
But I could have one of my babies home soon!! They're 6 weeks old today, so I've waited a l-o-n-g time for this!!!!
And because I've released a few pics, here they are. . .
The first 2 are Baby A, second 2 are Baby B.
