Shot the ex's bf with an arrow(in Wildwood), brought him to the school and hacked him with a chainsaw. He was a Naval Officer. I knew him from the gym. And I talked to him a few days after he did it and he was his usual self. Scary stuff. :yikes: Dana something....last name escapes me
Collins. I went to the same gym back then, and I remember how he was always helping/flirting with the hotties there. He suddenly stopped talking to anyone, then was arrested a few days later.

He tried to plead insanity, but was found guilty of first degree murder. He got life without parole. If you look him up on the court case site it has his SSN. You could steal his identity! :lmao:

When I say or read "gated", I mean you can't get into the neighborhood unless you live there, or you're a guest and someone lets you in. You have to get by security to get through the gate.
I understand..

Solomons Landing is gated, but they don't have anyone sitting in a guard shack. And if the gate is broke (most times than not) than it is an open community as they don't man the gate. When it is working it's a pretty cool system.

CRE reference was a joke, I think at one time it was gated, but I think it was more keeping the criminals in than out.

Welcome to Southern Maryland! Here's my 2 cents worth regarding your questions.

BEST SCHOOLS IN MY OPINION ARE IN CALVERT COUNTY.

2. Where's the quietest area to live? Nicest also?
Quiet? On the waterfront of course! or on a 3-acre lot. Nicest areas overall, in my opinion is still Huntingtown and Owings in Calvert.

3. I'm not finding much in apartments...where can I locate that info?
LOTS of rentals - townhouses and apartments in the Lexington Park and California areas of St. Mary's check with PAX Base Housing for rentals. Few to no apartments in Calvert County; several subsidized living apartments. Once and again a townhouse in Prince Frederick, Chesapeake Beach or North Beach comes on the market to rent. Typically you'll find more single family homes versus apartments to rent in Calvert County.

4. 4 bedroom house, new construction. What cost range can I expect?
I can best speak about Calvert County on this one. And even then, construction of a 4BR, 2.5BA house is going to vary quite a bit in Calvert depending on location. Typically, the most expensive areas are going to be Huntingtown, Dunkirk, and Owings. Followed second (again, only my opinion) by Prince Frederick, Chesapeake Beach, Sunderland, Port Republic, St. Leonard. 4BR home in Huntingtown, Dunkirk, Owings can average anywhere from $450k to $650k and up. Prince Frederick goes typically $350k to $500k and same for Chesapeake Beach. St. Leonard and Port Republic can vary greatly due to the many waterfront properties in these areas so my guess is going to be $425k-$550k. White Sands is probably the cheapest right now at about $350k You'd be surprised at the nice, reasonably priced homes you can find in Lusby (Chesapeake Ranch Esatates). Both new and resales abound with prices ranging all over the place!
