A woman looking for a cocaine dealer called a number on her son's cell phone only to discover later that she had phoned a police officer, authorities said. The woman was arrested on a drug complaint, Prosecutors were preparing charges Monday of possession of drugs with intent to distribute, he said.

The woman's number was on her son's cell phone because he had been arrested previously on drug charges.

"She was looking through her son's cell phone directory and found my number," the local LEO said. "Her son had told her that if she ever needed help with anything to give me a call. I think she misunderstood.

"She thought she was talking to a drug dealer."

Arrests followed.

While this woman isn't the brightest, the Darwin awards are for people that have removed themselves from the gene pool.

Sounds like the prosecutors were grasping at straws (or coiled up dollar bills)

If she called the cop hoping to score some toot, how can the prosecutor charge her with possession with intent? Unless they sold her a lot more than she could snort on the spot then arrested her.
