Not many people realize that there are different grades of propane, the lower grade can screw up your equipment and emit an odor sometimes, the lower grade has what the industry calls "heavy ends". This is less refined. Just saying.

the lower grade, hd10, shouldn't be used to fuel an engine, but is fine for other uses. Are you saying some of the suppliers down here are using hd10?

means nothing. furnace will be fine.

They quoted me $2.99 about a week ago -- that's for a one-time fill of at least 150 gallons. If you're a new customer, mention their Facebook ad/promo of a 15c/gal discount.

This is why if you are running a generator on propane you should make sure you are running the good stuff. Also if you are gettind alot of "heavy ends",
you are getting less usable LPG

Is that for regular service, or a one-time fill? If I remember correctly Taylor quoted me $3.14 a month ago. I suppose the market can fluctuate as quickly as gas does, but you wouldn't think the price would actually go down as the weather turns colder.

And, since I used Suburban, how did they rip you off previously if you don't mind my asking?

Taylor has a considerably lower price if you get more than 75 gallons. My Taylor driver checks the gauge on the tank to be sure I'll get the best price. I would be hard pressed to ever switch from Taylor.
