It was brought to my attention that there will be no SMHA shows at PGEC in 2012. BEST has acquired a few of their dates.

More dates added, including the Marlborough Jumper Derby, Dressage Fix-a-Test, and Water Schooling at Rosaryville State Park. TWO dates this year, one in March and one in April

The schedule is generally up to date. I'm waiting on dates from AMIT and Mounted Wanderers. Plan on coming to the Marlborough derby at Rosaryville if you can! There will be plenty of locals riding, including Mom who always loves it when photosbydan and 4leggedfotos come out If you ever have any questions on who's going where and when, feel free to PM me or email me at diane.zrimsek@gmail.com. Mounted Wanderers dates are up! AMIT and Flat Iron Farm dates will be out in the next week or so.

Just added the dates to my calender. Of course that is no guarantee I will make the show but at least it is on my calendar. It would be great if these organizations would list start times on their calenders/web sites.

Check the class schedule for start times. 8am is typically a safe bet for the hunter/jumper shows.

Bubby is not running the FIF horse show. My understanding is that Robin (not sure of her last time) is running a program over there and that Bobby Lindsley from AMIT is assisting her in putting on a show.

Generally the show prep clinic is for riders who are ready to start showing, not so much for complete beginners. Contact Bobby if you have any questions, you can find the phone number and email at A Moment In Time.

A series of 7 hunter paces throughout Maryland, March-May, offering something for everyone if you like to ride outside of the ring. Pick your class - we have everything from leisurely trail rides to fast cross country schools. So grab some friends to make up your team and come out and ride away your winter blues!

Classes offered:
1. Fast Time Over Fences (3'-3'6")
2. Optimum Time Over Low Fence...s (< 2'6")
3. Junior Optimum Time Over Low Fences (< 18 years old and < 2'6")
4. Optimum Time Over Fences (3'-3'6")
5. Optimum Flat Time
6. Junior Optimum Flat Time (< 18 years old)

Optimum times will be set prior to the hunter pace by a field master to simulate riding to hounds and will not be revealed until the conclusion of the the day.

Circuit-end ribbons and trophies (must participate in at least 3 out of 7 hunter paces with 2 or more of the same people riding on the team at each pace).

New for 2012: WIN A CUSTOM STUBBEN SADDLE!
A custom fitted Stubben saddle, selected by master saddle fitter Gina Perilla, will be presented at the annual Maryland Governor’s Cup Awards reception to the horse and rider that participate in the most Maryland Steeplechase Association 2012 foxhunter races and the most Maryland Spring 2012 Hunter Pace series classes.
