I have a bit more time in my daily life, so am looking forward to a great garden this year. Today is a perfect day for working outside!
I've cleaned out my flower beds and working on the damn Virginia Creeper. I hate that sht.
Flowers go down next week and mulch. Can't wait.

Planted potato, beans, Swiss chard, sunflowers and gladiolus. Need to run back out and pick asparagus and spinach.

I have gone to floral decor in my yard and deck, aka fake flowers. I've spent a fortune on flowers and plants, only to have the whimsical weather destroy them. So now I get fakes and unless you get up close you can't even tell (except they look great instead of half dead). My neighbors AND the resort manager have decided that's the way they want to go as well, so I started a trend.

How early do you sow the spinach?

As for the Stiltgrass, pre emergence will stop it, fenoxaprop after. Make sure to hit it before it seeds.

This mess is trying to take over my gardens, gotta get a handle on it. https://www.invasivespeciesinfo.gov/terrestrial/plants/japanese-stiltgrass

And I've got Virginia creeper. And bind weed, THAT drives me crazy.
I have a problem with nutsedge grass. There is a very specific killer for it, but the grass has to be a few inches up for it to be effective. Waiting for it to show...

BTW... my potato harvest.... :lmao:

I thru some seed in the ground, as a trial, first week of March, three different spots. Only one patch came up, and it's really sparse. But delicious!

And I didn't put manure on the asparagus in the fall, but it is producing well.

Moved some day lilies and hosta today. Probably disrupted their blooms for this year, but I've been meaning to do it for years, hated where they were at, so today was the day!

Anyone want some 6+inches across tangerine colored day lilies?

Put mine in Friday tomatoes, peppers, 3 kinds of squash, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of potatoes, 3 kinds of onions, sunflower mix, basil, parsley and lavender! Now comes the staking!

I'll take some hosta if you are dividing.
