235 in Spring Ridge/St James area...

Does anyone know what is going on in that area? As I was leaving for work- 235 was blocked from 489 (Park Hall Rd) at least down to Evergreen Forest Rd. (that's as far as I could see.) And I'm assuming further south as well. It looked like an accident or something possibly involving a a tractor trailer.

I left before you did and don't get a local radio station in this building.. :ohwell:

We don't have a radio in here- maybe I'll call M- he knows everything that goes on around here!!

According to the local radio, bad accident, that section of road closed in both directions (unless you have to drop your child off at Spring Ridge), three medivac units on the scene and I personally saw two more police vehicles, lights flashing going in that direction. There was already two fire trucks and at least five police vehicles at the scene when I had to turn around. Didn't get much more than that, sorry.

Thanks. Now I wonder who..I know alot of people down that way and have not heard from 1 friend this morning that I hear from every day.

Yeah I saw all the flashing lights- did it say anything about a big rig? I thought it looked like a tractor trailer was sideways across the road. I hope no one in those homes got hurt- some of those houses are pretty close to the road.

Know the feeling. I called my son as soon as I got home to make sure he was safely at work. And thank God no school bus was involved. Now I'm just hoping they're being overly cautious and no one is seriously injured.

I hate to say this...my husband passed through there right after it happened and said it was a horrible accident and he saw a dead body. :sad:

They didn't say and I couldn't tell, the fire truck was blocking the view coming north and it was well before Spring Ridge going south.

Appartantly 3 people died in the accident. One is rumored to be a teacher at Ridge Elementary School.
