Waters are warmer than normal. When the warm waters flow north, all manner of tropical fish comes north too. In August and September I'd scuba dive on the jetties off Long Island's south shore and frequently capture very southern tropical fish.

Indeed it was. Somebody posted it as new and I missed the date. I also missed that story last year...even though several large bull sharks were caught farther south.

I'm hitting the beaches of Avon/Buxton, NC (OBX) this week in pursuit of some large toothy critter from the beach. I'll let you know what I see swimming by and heading northbound!
