34-minute execution

I am a firm believer that if the convicted person actually has committed the crime, he should be punished for it.

I have known friends that have gotten murdered and the find the killer, and give him 10 years in prison... What is that making him realize ? That he can go out and do it again !?

Makes no sense to me and utterly upsets me.

A little bit more about him:

Nieves was convicted of first-degree murder, four counts of kidnapping, two counts of armed robbery, one count of attempted robbery and one count of possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony for the holdup at the bar, in which most of the patrons were locked in a restroom.

Nieves' prior record includes a second-degree murder conviction in his native Puerto Rico and escapes there and in Connecticut. In 1981, he escaped from the Hartford Correctional Center by holding one guard at knifepoint while another was beaten as he and three other inmates escaped, according to court records.

Nice guy. I have absolutely no sympathy for his supposed suffering. I wonder if his victims were so lucky to "not suffer."

Not in this country lol...

We need to import some of the laws they have over in Europe... This country would be killing dozens of people a year... I would change my profession to lol to run a funeral home !

I wonder if anyone cared what the final moments of his victim(s) life was like and if they grimaced before their life was stolen. We are so into being evolved and not being barbaric in the ways we execute someone. What a crock.

Yes. The jury considered it and recommended death. The Judge agreed. The system let us all down by not frying the murderer back when they used old sparky.

You know his family has a lot of nerve to be so upset that he was in pain for an extended period of time. I understand this guy is family, but if someone in my family murdered someone, i would wipe my hands clean and hope they got the death penalty too.
