does anyone know anything about a place in Waldorf that does 4d ultrasounds? I know there's one in the area but I can't seem to find any info and I don't know what to look under in the phone book!

probably, but she seemed really reluctant to have me do an ultrasound now. they want me to wait until 7 months. I want to have pictures to share with my out of town relatives when I go to my brother's wedding in July.

Just borrow someone else's pictures and show them as your own. Nobody will ever know. He11, I have some I'll send you....for a fee, of course.

17 weeks. I know I should wait until 20 weeks for really clear pictures but I thought it might take a while to get an appointment.

There's an imaging center near Safeway in Prince Frederick. We had 3d ultrasounds done there when we were expecting our second child. I don't remember the name of the center, but there's a gym in the same building. (For longtime residents, it's the old Ames building.)

Radiology Imaging Associates, there's one in Waldorf and one if Prince Frederick. 3/4D sonos are worthless until around 5 or 6 months. The fetus does not have enough fat to get a good picture. My mom is a sono tech.

Pembroke(sp) Medical Center in Waldorf, on Old Washington Rd. My wife and I had ours their. They only have 4D, I think. We were not asked which one we wanted, simply got a 4D. We had our first one at about 22 weeks. I think that is the time frame that is recommended. I don't know the name of the company, it may be RIA as mentioned above.

Oh, here's an idea, just listen to your doctor. Besides, it is your brother's wedding day, don't steal his thunder. You can show your out of town relatives the ultrasound pics at your baby shower or just make copies and send to them.
A lot of hospitals will post your baby's picture on their web site after the child is born.

Congratulations on your upcoming blessed event!

It's NOT 7 months. The place at Pembroke(RIA) will provide you with hard copy pictures and they will give you a CD with the pictures on it. You can e-mail them to everyone.

I'm not sure that my doctor is against having an earlier u/s done. I think it's more that the insurance company will only cover 2 and she would prefer to have it done closer to delivery. She offered to have me do the early one in her office and pay for it out of pocket, but Í figure if I'm going to have to pay for it anyway, I'd rather check out all of the options.

I don't plan on showing the pictures on the day of the wedding! I would not do that to my brother. Since the wedding is literally on the other side of the country for me and halfway across the country for my relatives, we will all be there for several days surrounding the wedding day. I can't show the pictures at my shower as I do not expect the 'tives to travel 2 days to attend a 1-2 hour long shower.

While at the wedding get everyone's email address and then when you get your 7-month ultrasound photos you can scan them and send them. I am sure most of your relatives either have or live near someone with email, if not make copies of the scanned photos and mail them their own personal copy.
