I did call the pediatrician both Sunday and last evening... he said if he continued to vomit then to bring him in. But, now baby is at rest, we JUST fed him 4 oz (he usually inhales 8 ox) and he's sleeping soundly. I get that I'm a paranoid first time mother and I honestly don't have family or in-laws around to tell me I'm over reacting or not reacting enough so at times I'm honestly clueless

First time moms are entitled to be paranoid! Don't apologize for it -- all of us moms have been right there in those shoes! Rule of thumb is, if it worries you, call the doc. That's why they're there! It's so hard to know with the little ones because they can't verbalize what's going on with them. Moms have to rely on observations, knowledge of their child, and most of all their gut feeling. If you feel that something is wrong, follow up until your concerns are addressed. You are doing fine!!

Come to think of it, I think one of my four might have had that same issue at one time. Of course, since 3 of the 4 are now in their 20's, I don't remember what the reason was for them doing it. Couldn't have been anything major or I'd have remembered it before this.

Hang in there, it'll all be okay!

My daughter is 9 now but when she was little if she got sick she would be fine all day long and it would start hitting her in the afternoon and her fever would spike back and be vomiting and after a full nights rest she was fine again. It went on like that for 4-5 days. Might be a virus like that, I know that was one of the scariest ones I heve ever dealt with.

Woke up, both my husband and myself now sick, husband up all night vomiting...waited till baby woke and took him to daycare and holy crap, his head is soaked, not his clothes so why would his head be sweating? I came home and checked his crib to see if it was wet or sweaty sheets and nothing??

haha my monster's head sweats constantly, its a baby thing :huggy: and their hands and feet are cold. They aren't super good at maintaining body temp yet. Sounds like he had a virus and you guys were lucky enough to catch it.

Is he teething as well? Don't know what the correlation is, but when my kids cut their "K-9" teeth on the bottom, they vomited off and on for days. My mom called them the "stomach teeth" because she said we all did the same thing.

Probability of it being a virus is high though because your hubby is now sick. Just remember, kids are extremely resilant and bounce back quickly from things that knock us down for days!

Hope he feels better soon.
