A-1 Driving Academy

I called the owners of A-1 last night. The instructor who was teaching there left. The owners thought that all students from the August class had behind the wheel time. They will be calling us to set up our son's driving time.

Dont spread this around but I and my wife got our DE while in HS school for free. And even got a school credit...

Well I guess I am going to tell my age here... I left 10th grade and went to night school for the year (family business issues) and went to a private place, but it was like $75... I was all set for my drivers ED class but they did not offer it in Night School...

I sure wish they would bring that back, it really tough kids how to drive, different parts of the vehicle AND how to change a tire!

I wish they'd bring it back, too, the current system seems haphazard to me, which explains in part why drivers suck so bad. My older sister had drivers' ed in school, but it was phased out by the time I got there.

I remember her calling her class of kids "cone killers" for their skill at parallel parking.

At LHS there was also a smoking area where the daycare is now.
Hope the kiddies don't find any ancient cigarette butts.

But the part about the instructor leaving and them being unaware about the behind the wheel time - is BS on their part.

The classroom instructor was not the same guy who did the behind the wheel portion. They told us that in the orientation.
