A bad day crabbing on the river

sure beats a good day at the office, doesn't it?

We brought in two bushels of number 2 males (some bigger, but mostly #2s), they just kept clinging to the bait even as the chicken necks became less and less. Pass after every pass, there were several keepers. We were out all day, what a blast! Haven't done that in quite a while.

And when I look at what a bushel costs on Labor Day weekend, the price was sure right for getting out there and dropping a line.

Has anyone been crabbin' lately have a story on how they've been hitting?

Rael, sounds like you had a great day crabbing, enjoy... :buddies:

Thanks, it truly was, haven't had that much fun in a while. And that one that broke the skin on my finger sure tasted good to someone in our little group. :pete:

The storm brought 'em back in to our area (St. George Creek) and the pier pots were filling up pretty quickly over the weekend.

Been real scarce for a while before Irene came through.
